I think it is harder to change cultures ,either western to learn Eastern or Eastern tried to live like real western .However it is so important to respect each other's culture!!
In China, People less feel alone , since families do live together , residential care for elderly people is very rare , I never heard any children or teenagers been removed from their natural family into care home because they have care needs . Actually the whole China doesnt exist this kind of care home or called supported living for people with autism and learning disabilities. It isnt easy for three generation or four generation to live together ,family members cant say they never have arguments ,However people tried to find harmony and balance from conflict.
